S SERIES OF PHOSPHORESCENT PIGMENTS
1. Introduction:
We have succeeded in developing a new material which has excellent anti-moisture. This material developed by the company shows very wide spectrum. The material is named silicate in series.
2. Characteristics:
- It isn't contain any radioactive substance, warrants safety for humans body.
- It has a variety in material colors and emission colors. At present, the emission colors in green, blue, yellow-green, blue-green are on sale and the materials colors are title different with each others.
- Good water resistance behavior. If it was socked in the water for a long time, its brightness at same time is almost no declined.
- It has the light emission function thanks to its stable crystal structure. It may be used in semi-permanent ways under proper conditions.

Footnotes: |
(1) brightness after 10 min, excitation with a D65 illuminant for 10 min, at 1000LX.
(2) time span necessary for afterglow brightness to diminish to 0.32mcd/m2
(3) time required for saturation with standard D65 illuminant at 1000LX |
4. Application:
- How to use the luminescent material
|
- Paints and Coatings:
|
- Use a transparent solvent vehicle with neutral pH.
- Do not grind the pigment, just stir. If possible use light colored ceramic or glass lined vessels.
- To minimize settling, use a viscous vehicle or anti-settling agents, stir well prior to application.
- Apply a white base coat under the phosphorescent layer to improve afterglow.
- All additives should be free of heavy metal compounds.
- Plan on using 20 to 60 percent pigment. (by weight).
|
- Inks, Silk Screen & UV curved:
|
- Viscosity of inks should be about 3000-5000 poise. During printing, viscosity should be adjusted by using a diluting agent based on printing speed.
- Apply a white base coat under the phosphorescent layer to improve afterglow.
- Minimum film thickness of the layer should be 100um. In order to achieve maximum afterglow, a film thickness of 130-150um is required. For achieving this thickness two passes may be necessary.
- Ideal screen size would be 80-100 mesh. Larger screen openings would give better results.
- To minimize settling, using a viscous vehicle and/or anti-settling agents. Also stir well prior to printing.
- One pound of dry can cover 3.5 square meter area.
|
- Plastics:
|
- It is compatible with acrylic, polyester, PVC , etc.
- Material can be cast, dipped, coated, extruded or molded.
|
- Range of Application
|
- Position marking: Sockets of electric switches, outlets and keys, portable flash light, staircases, roads, emergency kits, extinguished, fire alarm lifesaving equipment, etc.
- Safeguarding: Signals, umbrellas, alarming characters and pictures, access roads, underground passageways in subways, ports and harbors, hospitals, emergency equipment, caps, bicycles, helmets, speaker, children's clothes, work clothes and other safety markings.
- Building: Walls, tiles, elevator insides, bridges, ways, etc.
- Others: Calendars, nameplates, stationary, novelties, fishing goals, toys, etc.
