Chemical name: 4,4'-Bis[2-(2-methoxyphenyl) ethenyl]-l,l'-biphenyl

l. Properties:
With appearance of Light yellow or milk white crystalline powder, it is
insoluble in water, but soluble in ordinary organic solvents. It's melting
point is 216-222°C. Whitening Agent CBS-127 is similar to Uvitex FP made
in Ciba Switzerland.
2. Application:
Fluorescent Whitening Agent CBS-127 has very good whitening effect on various
kinds of plastics and their products, especially on the products of plastics
such as PVC and PS. It has extra ideal whitening and brightening effects on
artificial leathers. No yellowing and discoloring will occur on the products
whitened by this whitening agent even if they are stored for a long time.
3. Directions for use and dosage:
The dosage should be 0.01-0.05% on weight of plastic. Put the whitening agent
into the plastic pellets and mix the mixture thoroughly before shaping the
plastic products.

Fluorescent Whitening Agent
ER:
Chemical name: 1,4-Bis(2-cyano styryl) benzene
Molecular formula: C24Hl6N2
l. Properties:
Fluorescent Whitening Agent ER, is one of the bisdiphenylethelene compounds and
similar to Blankophor ER made in Bayer A.G., Germany. ER has an appearance of
yellowish green powdered crystal with a purity equal to or higher than 98% and
a melting point of 230 to 234°C. It is non-toxic, odorless, nonionic and
soluble in most of organic solvents. Products whitened by ER have a natural
pure white appearance. Being stable in chemical properties and characterized by
strong high temperature resistance and photostability. ER is one of the most
ideal whitening agents generally accepted internationally for polyester fiber.
2. Applications:
Fluorescent Whitening Agent ER in the form of refined powder is very suitable
for whitening and brightening polyester fiber and has good whitening effect on
plastics such as PE, PP and PVC and their products. Products can be remarkably
upgraded by adding ER refined powder in the process of shaping with polyester
chips or recovered polyester chips. In addition, the refined powder is widely
used in coating industry.
3. Directions form use and dosage:
Put Fluorescent Whitening Agent ER in the form of refined powder, the polyester
chips and other auxiliaries together into the mixer. The dosage of 0.02-0.08%
on weight of polyester is recommended and should be determined according to the
requirement for the whiteness of the finished products. Mix the mixture
thoroughly at 50-150'C and then keep it at 240-300°C for drawing-spinning.

KCB:
Chemical name: 2,2'-(1,4-naphthalenediyl) Bisbenzoxazole

l. Properties:
With appearance of yellowish green crystalline powder, it's melting point is
210-212°C and fluorescence tone is bluish bright white. It is insoluble in
water, but soluble in ordinary organic solvents. It is similar to the products
such as Hostalux KCB and Hoechst T 1258 make in foreign countries.
2. Applications:
This whitening agent can be used for whitening and brightening plastic films,
injection molded materials, expanded or foamed PVC, EVA, PU foams, rubber
products, whitening coatings and lacquers.
3. Directions for use and dosage:
Mix this whitening agent with the pellets to be whitened thoroughly and then
carry out shaping. Generally, a dosage of 0.01-0.05% on weight of material to
be whitened is recommended.

l. Properties:
It is a mixed compounds as a substitute of ordinary various kind of optical
brighteners. It has the characteristics of convenient, minimum of adding up and
best efficient in utilize. This fluorescent whitening agent is similar to
Hostalux KSN.
2. Applications:
Extensively used in industries of plastics, fiber, polyester plastics,
polyester fiber and coating, painting, inks.

l. Properties:
With appearance of light yellow or milk white powder, as a compound of
benzoxazole type and melting point 196-203°C. It is hardly soluble in
water, but soluble in paraffin, mineral oils and ordinary organic solvents.
Fluorescent whitening Agent OB is similar to Uvitex OB made in Ciba
Switzerland.
2. Applications:
OB can be used for whitening thermoplastic plastics, PVC, PS, PE, PP, ABS,
Acetate fiber, paint, coating, printing ink, etc. It can be added at any stage
in process of whitening the polymers and can give the finished products a
bright bluish white glaze.
3. Directions for use and dosage:
The dosage should be 0.01-0.05% on weight of plastic. Put whitening Agent OB
into plastic pellets, mix the mixture thoroughly and then carry out shaping.

Chemical name: 2,2'-(1,2-ethenediyldi-4,1-phenylene) Bisbenzoxazole

1. Properties:
With appearance of bright yellow crystalline powder and melting point
365-370°C. It is insoluble in water, but soluble in high boiling point
organic solvents such as benzene tricheloride. It is strongly resistant to heat
and light due its high boiling point. This whitening agent is similar to
Eastobrite OB-1 made in Eastman USA.
2. Applications:
Whitening Agent OB-1 is especially suitable for shaping various kinds of
plastics and their products under high temperature. It has an extra ideal
whitening effect on polyester fibers as well as polyester fiber containing
fabrics including polyester-cotton blend fabric.
3. Directions for use and dosage:
The dosage should be 0.01-0.05% on weight of plastics or polyester pellets. Mix
the materials thoroughly before shaping of the plastic products or
drawing-spinning of polyester fibers.
