Arizona is the 6th largest state (113,642 square miles) in the U.S.A., formed in 1912. While we have huge expanses of open space, most of it is dedicated to non-private ownership. Native American reservations, Federal Lands and National parks, State lands and State parks, Wildlife preserves, military bases and military reservations take up more than 80% of the state. Less than 20% of the land area is available for private ownership. The result is that many areas are already landlocked. Growth is still a very real factor here in the Valley of the Sun. In fact, the Phoenix Metro area has been and continues to grow significantly, as do other specific parts of Arizona. According to Real Estate Analyst R .L. Brown, as quoted in the Arizona Republic (Phoenix Newspaper) in March 2009, "Real estate prices in Arizona are at or near the bottom. Investors are already returning to profit from low home prices."

Buying real estate in Arizona is relatively easy and quite secure. Arizona real estate laws are well rounded and fair. Respect for and preservation of private ownership rights is a driving factor in our legal conduct. For example, Zoning is dictated by publicly approved General Plan to coordinate the makeup of each community and it is implemented by a City / County Zoning Plan. Real Estate Agents / Agencies are licensed by the State of Arizona and monitored by them. Title Companies are licensed by the State Banking Authority, as are the Banks. Most all who conduct business as part of each real estate transaction are licensed and monitored by State Authorities. Deeds of Title are publicly recorded by a department of the local County Government for more secure ownership.
